For surpassing the hundred thousand views mark on his channel, YouTube has recently awarded a distinction to the Ivorian comedian Ambassador Agalawal.

Ambassador Agalawal, a comedian from Ivory Coast, stands among the highly esteemed artist-comedians not only in his home country but also abroad. Presently, he is overjoyed after a career spanning over a decade. For exceeding a hundred thousand views on his YouTube channel, which he started around 2015, Ambassador Agalawal has been honored by the platform.

Delighted, he shared the news on his Facebook page this Friday, March 22, 2024. “Thank you very much, friends. Thank you infinitely for your support. This YouTube trophy is for you,” he wrote.

When contacted by the Ivorian media Afrique sur 7 by phone, he could hardly hide his excitement. “I am very happy and this acknowledges that people really appreciate Ambassador Agalawal as a person and the work that is being done. People do not subscribe to the page just for fun. They subscribe because they know that there is something very interesting to enjoy on the page. YouTube accounts are like TV channels. If there isn’t a good program on the channel, viewers will not tune in. Having such a number of subscribers on the channel to the point of receiving a trophy means what is offered on the channel is of great interest and it pleases the people,” Ambassador Agalawal explained.

He continued by saying, “It’s very difficult to get subscribers on YouTube. My page has crossed the hundred thousand subscriber mark and YouTube decided to thank me by giving me this trophy and to encourage me as well.

It is noteworthy that the comedian is currently busy preparing his second one-man show, which will be held at the Palais des congrès of the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Cocody, and it’s his seventh since he started his career as a comedian. “The one-man show I am preparing will take place on June 8th at the Palais des congrès of the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Cocody. It will be the second consecutive time that I will perform in this iconic room. This show is titled ‘Evening at the Embassy‘,” he pointed out.

Agalawal also took the moment to reveal a bit about the event. “As with all authorities, the Ambassador also wants to receive his subjects at his home. Because all authorities organize receptions at their homes. I haven’t yet had people over at my place. I decided to organize the ‘Evening at the Embassy’. The ‘Evening at the Embassy’ is the Embassy of Ambassador Agalawal. There is nothing wrong with the Ambassador hosting an evening at his Embassy. And especially since the Ambassador, if we refer to last year’s performance, has moved. When he moved, he didn’t show it to anyone. It’s as if it were a housewarming. I organize the ‘Evening at the Embassy’, to allow each and everyone and those who need visas to know where the Ambassador and the Embassy are located. As such, they can now come to see the Ambassador. It’s also a way of celebrating in the Embassy among us, the neighbors, the people, and my fellow Ambassadors. Above all, it will allow us to have a conversation from Ambassador to people. Because we need to catch up. What’s happening in the country? What does the Ambassador think about everything that’s going on?” he explained.

Topics such as ‘The Internet Outage’ will be part of the ‘conversations’ that Ambassador Agalawal will have with his ‘people’ during this ‘Evening at the Embassy’. Because in reality, according to the humorist, in a comedy show, one comes to laugh at our daily lives, our news, and our struggles.
