On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, rescue teams extracted the lifeless body of a sexagenarian from a well in the village of Dahiri, located in the locality of Divo.
According to the platform of the National Civil Protection Office, in the village of Dahiri, situated about 35 kilometers from Divo on the Divo-Gagnoa axis, a male individual who was heading to his field before dawn reportedly slipped and fell into an 18-meter deep well.
Upon receiving the alert, civil firefighters from Lôh-Djiboua promptly arrived at the scene, and with the assistance of the Fall Protection and Rescue Kit (LSPCC), they managed to recover the lifeless 60-year-old man, who showed no signs of life. The death was confirmed by a medical examiner who was summoned to the site.
In the presence of the police, the civil firefighters handed over the deceased body to the funeral services before transferring it to a morgue for preservation. At present, there is no information regarding the exact circumstances of this tragic incident.
