This Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the police successfully thwarted an attempted robbery in the 2 Plateaux Vallon neighborhood of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
According to police sources, two criminals stormed a residence around 4 a.m. A team from the BRI NORD was dispatched to the scene following an alert call. The police immediately responded when the robbers opened fire. One of the robbers was killed in the confrontation, and his accomplice was apprehended.
During the search, law enforcement confiscated four electronic devices, two of which were owned by the homeowner and the other two by the house’s caretaker. Additionally, a 12-gauge firearm with ammunition was seized.
It is noteworthy that this intervention demonstrates the reactivity and effectiveness of the police forces in combating crime. Moreover, the residents of the neighborhood are pleased with the swift intervention of the BRI NORD agents, which brought an end to this dangerous situation.
