Ivorian artist Didi B has recently committed to joining the fight against malaria in Ivory Coast. He announced this news to his fans via a post on his official Facebook page.
As part of the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) held in Ivory Coast, Mojaveli has selected renowned Ivorian rapper Didi B as the leading figure in its fight against malaria. Didi B thus becomes the Ambassador for the new ‘FC Zero Malaria’ initiative in Ivory Coast, a campaign dedicated to eradicating malaria.
In a Facebook post, the Shogun expressed his contentment at being chosen. “I am delighted to lend my voice to the fight against malaria and to support the efforts of the RBM Partnership. Thank you to the Health Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, His Excellency Pierre N’gou Dimba, for choosing me as the New Ambassador. It’s unacceptable that this disease continues to kill a child every minute. The youth in Africa must understand that they have a role to play in this important fight. Malaria hampers our creativity and our ability to shine and realize our dreams, and we have to eliminate it for good. Join our Zero Malaria team during this CAN to raise awareness among our guests, especially about good practices. Together for a malaria-free CAN,” he wrote.
Didi B, a prominent member of the group Kiff No Beat, has embraced a significant role as an ambassador for awareness in the fight against malaria, a disease that continues to claim lives, especially among children in Africa and Ivory Coast. In this noble mission, he will work closely with the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage to promote prevention efforts during major sporting events in Ivory Coast. Didi B also plans to release a new song to amplify the impact of this campaign.
Alongside his social commitment, Didi B continues to make his mark in the music world. After a memorable concert at Elysée Montmartre in February 2023, he is preparing for an anticipated performance at the Olympia in Paris next February, marking his second show at such a prestigious venue.
