On Monday, July 31, 2023, at the Abidjan-Cocody Classical High School, the written exams for the 2023 session of the Higher National Diploma (BTS) were officially launched in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Adama Diawara.

A total of 56,214 candidates, compared to 61,002 in 2022, will be divided into two major fields to take the exams this year: the written exams from July 31 to August 3, 2023, and the practical exams from August 8 to 12, 2023. There are 19,388 candidates in the industrial field and 36,826 candidates in the tertiary field. Specifically, there are 13,908 male candidates and 5,480 female candidates in the industrial field. As for the tertiary field, there are 13,143 male students and 23,683 female students.

During the opening ceremony, Minister Adama Diawara encouraged the candidates not to cheat. “We count on you. What you must avoid is trying to cheat in any way. The invigilators are watching closely, it is pointless to do that. In any case, if you are caught, you will be expelled and you will fail on the spot,” warned Minister Diawara.

Furthermore, he also reminded the candidates that the subjects they will be given are exercises that have already been reviewed during the school year. “What we are giving you this morning are things you have seen in class, and all we ask of you is to concentrate. Read the subject correctly and do not confuse speed with haste. Trust yourself, I think everything will go well,” he advised.
