A chilling video dating back to February is circulating online following the death of Evgeniy Prigozhin, in which the head of Wagner reveals his thoughts on death. “We will all go to hell, but in hell, we will be the best,” he declared.
The video was shared on a Telegram channel linked to the mercenary group, just hours after concerns arose that Prigozhin had died in a plane crash near Moscow. “We will all go to hell, but we will be the best in hell,” Evgeniy Prigozhin summarized, according to the channel’s message citing excerpts from a previous interview.
In the video, Prigozhin can be seen laughing, seated inside a dimly lit makeshift tent, speaking to a few individuals. The time and location of the video are not known. Dmitry Utkin, a close collaborator of the Wagner leader who also died in Wednesday’s plane crash, states in the same video that “death is not the end, but the beginning of something else.”
On Wednesday evening, a private Embraer Legacy 600 jet en route from Moscow to Saint Petersburg crashed in the Tver region north of Moscow. The plane had 10 people on board, all of whom died.
Many experts allege that the Kremlin strongman orchestrated the mid-air explosion of the Embraer. The plane had on board the boss of Wagner and six of his close associates. The explosion occurred 50 km from the Valdai residence, a domain where Putin retreats when he needs to relax.
