“I come very humbly to offer my apologies. What you’re seeing right now is not at all pleasant. I am the one who provoked this situation,” Axel Merryl stated in a video posted on TikTok.
“I take full responsibility for what’s happening. I am somewhat at fault. I truly want to apologize. The statements I made in the live stream are not things to be said live.”
The young Beninese artist and comedian is refusing to engage in a war of words. “Nothing that we use to clear our names will be published on the internet. Dirty laundry is to be aired within the family, and we’re not here to destroy people or engage in a war. Since this situation began, I haven’t spoken. It’s not because I’m conceding, but it’s because I advocate for peace. The upbringing I received doesn’t allow me to respond to a clash,” he wisely declared.

He invites the opposing side to do the same in order to end the tension that’s affecting his relationship with the Makosso family. “Stop! It’s enough. Let’s move on. Leave this issue behind. Especially Kimi and her entourage, stop! No more defamation, no more insults,” he requested.
He’s ready to take legal action if the opposing side crosses a line again. “At the next instance of defamation, I won’t come here to clear my name. I’m considering going to the competent authorities,” he warned.
