The hero of the victory against Ludogorets (4-1) on Thursday evening in the first leg of the Europa League playoffs, Mohammed Kudus, confirmed his departure from Ajax, as the Ghanaian forward is linked with West Ham.

In great form at the beginning of this season, Mohammed Kudus once again showcased his immense talent. In Bulgaria on Thursday evening, during the first leg of the Europa League playoffs, the Ajax forward almost single-handedly dismantled Ludogorets’ team. Facing off against the team of Beninese international Olivier Verdon, the Black Stars’ center-forward scored a hat-trick in their 4-1 victory.

Kudus opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a long-range shot before doubling his team’s lead just two minutes later with a clever finish. He then completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute by rolling the ball into an empty net after being set up by Brian Brobbey.

At the end of the match and his impressive performance, the Black Star candidly discussed his future, “Yes, I think this was my last match here at Ajax. But let’s see what happens. Talks are ongoing. We need to see if an agreement is reached in the coming days.”

West Ham in the lead Although nothing is official yet, West Ham is reportedly on the verge of reaching an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Mohammed Kudus. David Moyes’ team appears to have won the race for the Ghanaian’s signature and will pay a total package of over 40 million euros. According to The Athletic, the Hammers have agreed to pay a fixed amount of 41 million euros plus an additional 3 million euros in add-ons, with a 10% sell-on clause also inserted in the agreement.
