Ivorian influencer Emma Lohoues has addressed the controversy surrounding her unpaid rents issue that has been making headlines for several days.
Accused of not paying rent for over 7 months, Emma Lohoues faced allegations from a house owner in early July on social media. While some influencers offered their support, the majority did not seek her side of the story before criticizing her.
For the first time, the author of the book “In the Eyes of Emma” has spoken on the subject without actually admitting to the unpaid rent accusations. Her response was prompted by a fan who asked her for financial assistance.
“Hi, dear. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would like to get some assurance from you here. I saw a TikTok video on your account where you mentioned wanting to financially support people with projects by 50%. So I would like to know if it’s really you or not. Because there are too many scammers, so we’re a bit skeptical of everything,” wrote the internet user.
This triggered Emma Lohoues, and she replied, “Lol, it can’t be me. Apparently, I owe rent, right? How can I still wish to help people? Don’t be fooled; it’s not me.” Indeed, someone who owes several months of unpaid rent cannot claim to want to financially assist others.
