During an interview with Zaga Bambo, Kerozen spoke openly, recounting his chance meeting with the king of Togolese music, which left a lasting impression on him. “He showed me that he is a great singer,” he declared enthusiastically.
According to Kerozen, this encounter dates back to 2010, when he was working as a DJ in a nightclub in Switzerland. “I was the DJ at the largest club in Geneva, and they announced King Mensah for a concert. I didn’t know him, and I didn’t research him. As soon as it struck 10 PM, the club was packed. As soon as he played the first notes, I immediately concluded that he is a great artist. He is too talented,” said the artist from Emma Dobre Prod.
Subsequently, the author of “Dieu Tu seras élevé” (God You Will Be Elevated) revealed that it was later on during a trip to Togo for shooting a music video with the Togolese group Toofan that he had the chance to get to know Togolese artist King Mensah personally. “During my stay in Togo, I met him, and he was very happy to see me. He didn’t even know that it was me who introduced him back then. I told him the story, and he was surprised,” added the famous Ivorian artist.
Filled with sincere admiration for the Togolese artist with a golden voice, Kerozen didn’t hesitate to mention that he might collaborate very soon with King Mensah on his upcoming album “Puissance 10,” which is nearing its release.
