French-Cameroonian singer Tayc, one year after lifting a fan’s skirt during a performance, is now making his mea culpa.
Tayc, the French-Cameroonian singer, sparked controversy last year due to several incidents during his concerts. A suggestive dance with a fan on stage in Abidjan triggered a strong reaction on social media.
And during another show, a married woman threw her underwear onto the stage, which Tayc displayed inappropriately in front of the audience. These behaviors sparked a wave of criticism and negative feedback online.
Recently, the 27-year-old artist offered apologies, acknowledging that he had acted disrespectfully towards the woman and addressing all the fans he may have hurt with his actions. “When I’m performing, I’m giving it my all, sometimes I go overboard, but it’s just for the show. I realized that this particular scene shocked my fans and I apologize. I will have to moderate my behavior in the future,” he said.
The singer then explained that his behavior was solely meant to entertain the audience and add a touch of extravagance to his show. However, he quickly realized that it was not well received, hence his apology.
