The famous web comedian and presenter Yvidero opened up about her true origins over the weekend following a discussion with one of her followers on her Facebook page.
In a recent and humorous video, Yvidero, the web comedian, once again displayed her playful spirit by joking about the Yacouba people, eliciting smiles from her followers. She teased women of Yacouba origins, openly stating that they are generally not beautiful.
“I am at my little brother Den’s wedding. He married a Yacouba girl. It was really tough because I didn’t want it. He came to introduce his Yacouba wife to me. Before him, my youngest brother also introduced his girlfriend to me. The girl is beautiful and calm. But what pains me is that the girl is also Yacouba. We now have two Yacouba in our family, and that’s a lot. Yacouba girls are not pretty. And my question is, what kind of children will they give us?” she declared.
Quickly, this video sparked an avalanche of reactions, including one from a Yacouba follower who evidently didn’t appreciate her remarks. “We Yacouba, God has blessed us to be Ivorian, but you are Beninese, a poor country, very poor, to the point that your parents fled to come and settle in Ivory Coast,” the follower wrote.
In response to this comment, Yvidero wasted no time in replying. Taking advantage of the situation, she firmly reiterated that she will not tolerate disrespectful comments or negative criticism despite her status as a comedian.
“Yesterday, in a video, I teased the Yacouba; I often like to tease the ethnic groups in my country with a little anecdote to bring a smile. Ivory Coast has always been like that, playing with alliances and so on. Being on my platform does not give you the right to disrespect me, let alone dictate the rules to me. For those who might have forgotten, I became known as an ACTRESS, I never said here that I am a PILOT so that everything I say or do here is taken literally. I can imagine the special place you give me, I am aware of it, I know that my “A” has much more impact than some here, but keep in mind that even BILL GATES has moments of relaxation,” wrote the web comedian.
To conclude, the host of Yvidero Show also expressed her pride in being Beninese and the love she has for the country she considers her adopted homeland. “By the way, in the meantime, I am proud to be BENINESE, you have no idea about the love I have for this country that adopted me. Guidjoooooooo,” she concluded. A post that leaves doubt about the true origin of the web comedian.
