Indeed, the daily amount of water that a person should normally take for good health is two liters. However, the timing of when to drink it is also crucial. Therefore, during meals, instead of drinking water at the beginning, it is advisable to wait at least 30 minutes and then drink it in small sips. This will help with food decomposition and nutrient absorption.

As for its temperature, it should never be too cold, especially after a meal. Drinking cold, or even icy water, is risky as it could lead to congestion. Thus, it should be at room temperature or warm. Moreover, it should be known that warmth stimulates blood circulation and therefore facilitates digestion.

Apart from water, lemon or ginger herbal teas can also be good options after meals. They will indeed facilitate the digestion process as lemon and ginger are beneficial for the stomach. The former is known for its ability to aid digestion, while the latter accelerates stomach motility.
