As part of their second match during their preseason tour in the United States, Real Madrid defeated Manchester United with a score of 2-0. New signings Jude Bellingham and Joselu stood out with a goal each.
After staging a comeback against AC Milan (3-2) in their first outing in the United States, Real Madrid faced Manchester United on Thursday night for their second match on American soil. In a fairly controlled game against the third-placed team in the last edition of the Premier League, Carlo Ancelotti’s men secured a 2-0 victory. The match was especially notable for witnessing the first goals from two new signings, Joselu and Jude Bellingham.
It was the English international, Jude Bellingham, who struck early in the game. In the eighth minute, the former Borussia Dortmund player cleverly lobbed the new Red Devils’ goalkeeper, André Onana, from the edge of the box after a long pass from Rüdiger (1-0). Despite only playing the first 45 minutes, the English prodigy was named man of the match, showcasing his impressive skills. The Madrid management is already pleased with his performance.
In a relatively balanced second half, despite Onana’s numerous decisive saves, Real Madrid sealed their victory with an incredible golazo from Joselu, who joined the Madrid team this summer. The 33-year-old striker, who came on as a substitute during the match, doubled the lead with a spectacular scissor kick in the 89th minute (2-0). Another reason for satisfaction for Carlo Ancelotti and his team, who can now focus on the upcoming Clasico against FC Barcelona next Saturday. As for Manchester United, they will play against Borussia Dortmund on Monday before facing Lens on August 5th.
