The Togolese delegation won two medals at the Francophonie Games on Thursday, August 4, 2023, in the cultural domain.
33 Togolese ambassadors, including 14 athletes and 19 talented artists, are participating in the 9th Francophonie Games held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from July 28 to August 6. While the efforts in the sports field had not yielded results in the past events, Togo finally managed to shine on Thursday, August 4, 2023.
Indeed, the Kadam Kadam Association surprised everyone by winning the silver medal in the giant puppet contest, captivating the audience with a unique and creative performance. Their talent and creativity were rewarded with this well-deserved distinction.
In the artistic domain, the talented sculptor Kwami Agbetoglo also impressed the judges and spectators with a wooden artwork of unprecedented inspiration. His bronze medal crowns his exceptional talent and dedication to art, honoring the cultural richness of Togo.
