On September 6, 2023, the Ivorian police announced the seizure of over 5 tons of prohibited products, including the new drug known as “Kadhafi.”
These products are used to manufacture a new drug called “Kadhafi,” which is becoming increasingly popular among young people in Côte d’Ivoire. The seizure took place as part of a large-scale operation to dismantle networks involved in the sale of prohibited products. Under the supervision of Chief Commissioner Touré Atchet Mabonga, elements of the General Directorate of the National Police conducted raids in several municipalities in Abidjan.
“Kadhafi” is a mixture of various substances, including Tramadol, an opioid used to relieve moderate to severe pain. It is often mixed with other substances to produce hallucinogenic and euphoric effects. Taking this substance is extremely risky and can lead to serious health problems such as cardiac arrhythmias, seizures, and hallucinations. Moreover, it has the potential to cause fatal accidents.
It is worth noting that the Ivorian national police has declared its intention to intensify efforts to combat the consumption and trafficking of drugs, particularly “Kadhafi.”
