Olympique de Marseille will also compete in the final phase of this season’s Europa League. Failing to secure their ticket to the Champions League, the Phocéens managed to qualify for the C3. After the draw placed them in a challenging group, Marseille has released its squad list for this European adventure. A squad of 21 players, without Senegalese midfielder Pape Gueye, who is suspended for this tournament.

In fact, the midfielder is serving a four-month suspension imposed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the dispute between OM and Watford. This action stems from his controversial transfer from Le Havre to Olympique de Marseille in 2020, originally intended for the English club.
