The Protestant Methodist Church of Benin (EPMB) is once again in mourning. In the morning of Wednesday, January 3, 2024, it lost its vice president David Kpèssou Dossa.
The Vice President of the Protestant Methodist Church of Benin, David Kpèssou Dossa, has passed away in the morning of Wednesday, January 3, 2024. The information was made public by Reverend Clément D. Akpaki, the General Secretary of the EPMB, in a statement. “Dear colleagues, brothers and sisters, people of God in Benin. It is with sadness and consternation that we regret to announce the passing of our brother David Kpèssou Dossa, vice president of the Protestant Methodist Church of Benin,” he wrote.
He continued by presenting the heartfelt condolences of the Church to the family of the deceased. “On behalf of the Church and on behalf of His Eminence the President of the Church and the entire Biennial Synod Council, we extend our sincere condolences to the entire pastoral body, the entire Church, and the grieving families,” said Reverend Clément D. Akpaki.
For now, the cause of his death is not known.
It should be noted that David Kpèssou Dossa is also a political actor. He is a former councilor at the Sèmè-Podji Town Hall, as well as a member of the Party du Renouveau Démocratique (PRD) of Mr. Adrien Houngbédji, which merged with the Union Progressiste and became the Union Progressiste le Renouveau (UPR).
