Emerse Faé, who was recently appointed as the coach of the Ivory Coast national team, has broken his silence concerning the speculation around his supposed astronomical salary of 65 million XOF (CFA francs).
During his appearance on “La Grande Team,” a television program on channel 3 on the evening of Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Emerse Faé addressed certain details regarding the duration of his contract with the Ivorian selection and the exact amount of his salary.
Persistent rumors on social media claimed that the coach’s salary would be 65 million XOF (CFA francs). Confronted with these rumors, the coach clarified the situation, confirming that while the terms of the contract have been agreed upon, formalization through official signing is still pending. “I have not yet signed a contract. The salary has not been determined,” Faé indicated.
To conclude, he promised to shed more light on the matter soon through a press conference. “I am going to France for a week. Upon my return, I will hold a press conference to give all the details. So, in two weeks at the latest,” he said.
