President Patrice Talon arrived in China on the morning of Thursday, August 31, 2023. His delegation was welcomed at Beijing Capital Airport by several officials, including Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deng Li.
President Patrice Talon’s state visit to China begins on Thursday. He arrived in Beijing today with his delegation from Cotonou.
At the airport, a gathering of dignitaries welcomed the Beninese president. The Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese Ambassador to Benin, and Simon-Pierre Adovelandé, the Benin Ambassador to China, were present.
This visit, scheduled from August 31 to September 3, 2023, will involve several activities. President Patrice Talon will engage with Chinese dignitaries, including Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two presidents will discuss diplomatic cooperation between their two countries.
It should be noted that President Patrice Talon is accompanied by three of his ministers. They are Romuald Wadagni, Minister of State for Economy and Finance; Olusegun Adjadi Bakari, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Shadiya Assouman, Minister of Industry and Commerce.
