The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 will kick off on Saturday, January 13, 2024 with the opening match between Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé, Anyama. Didier Drogba, the Ivorian international appointed as ambassador of AFCON 2023 by the Organizing Committee of AFCON (COCAN), is expected to play a crucial role in this inaugural event.
