Indeed, the famous Ivorian comedian Amani Koffi Mathieu, better known by the pseudonym Ramatoulaye, suffered heavily from the consequences of these floods. Photos and videos of the damages caused to his house have widely circulated on social media. Internet users and personalities from around the world have expressed their support to the comedian.

Moreover, on Sunday, July 23, 2023, the Ivorian comedian did not hesitate to thank all those who supported him in this terrible ordeal, both near and far. “Thank you so much for your messages and calls since yesterday, may God bless you indeed,” he posted on his social media.

Finally, it should be noted that in recent months, the District of Abidjan and several cities in the interior of Côte d’Ivoire have been hit by frightening floods. Despite preventive measures taken by the government authorities, more than thirty people have already lost their lives in these numerous floods, according to a government information note.
