On Saturday, August 5, 2023, a tragedy struck the peaceful neighborhood of Riviera M’Pouto, located in the commune of Cocody, Côte d’Ivoire. The lifeless body of a 27-year-old man, hanged from a tree, was discovered.
Indeed, the Police Operations Coordination Center (CCOT) received an alert on Saturday regarding a hanging incident in Cocody Riviera M’Pouto, near “hauteur Yves Lemblin.” In response to the alert, law enforcement forces rushed to the scene to investigate this tragic event.
Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities located the lifeless body of a 27-year-old man, who appeared to have lost his life by hanging. At present, the circumstances surrounding this desperate act remain unknown.
Furthermore, a team of forensic doctors examined the body on-site to determine the cause of the tragedy. Subsequently, the FPT 81 was called to remove the body before it was handed over to the funeral service.
To conclude the investigation, the police are working to gather all necessary evidence to understand the motives behind this tragic act and determine if there were any underlying factors that influenced the dramatic decision.
