New summer signing for Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson dreams big for his adventure with the Blues. The Senegalese striker aims to surpass the club’s legends, including the Ivorian Didier Drogba.

“Scoring for Chelsea is something very, very significant. I hope to be a great player for this club. If I can achieve as much success as Drogba, Demba Ba, and Eden Hazard, then I will be happy. They are Chelsea legends. If I want to be considered a legend, I have to be even better than them,” Nicolas Jackson revealed in a recent interview with Chelsea’s website. Dethroning the former Blues legends is a challenge not impossible for the Senegalese international, whose beginnings in London are already a success.

An idyllic integration The former Villarreal striker also talked about his transfer to Chelsea, and the player seems happy in his new family. “Things are going very well; I am very happy right now. It’s very hot, but I’m used to it; it’s the same in Spain and Senegal. The training sessions are not too tough, it’s going well. I’m used to it. There are similarities between Pochettino and Unai Emery, who had me at Villarreal.”

The Banjul native is also well integrated into the group: “I get along with everyone. I talk to everyone. We relax together. We play cards, games when we are not training. Life goes by quickly. When I return to England, I will still be in a hotel. But then, I will buy a house near Cobham (the location of Chelsea’s training center).”
