Chelsea and Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement for the one-year loan of Brazilian prodigy Andrey Santos, who was recruited by the Blues last winter.
Andrey Santos will continue his adaptation away from Chelsea. The Brazilian talent, signed by the Blues in the winter of 2023 from Vasco de Gama, had been left at his training club until the end of the season. Although he arrived in England this summer, the player will not remain with the London-based team.
As Chelsea informs in an official statement on their website, the Premier League team has reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for the loan of the Auriverde for a year. The loan comes without an option to purchase for the 19-year-old player, allowing him to become familiar with the challenges of English football. He remains under contract with Chelsea until 2030.
Nottingham Forest has confirmed Andrey Santos’ arrival on their side: “I am very happy and excited to be here. I know that Forest is a big club, they play good football, and they have good players, which is important to me. I have always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and I am looking forward to enjoying playing,” said the defensive midfielder on Forest’s official website. Nottingham’s new number 12 could make his debut this Saturday at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
It’s worth noting that Chelsea also acquired two Brazilian talents this summer, both 18-year-old players from Santos. The first is Ângelo Gabriel, a skillful winger who was immediately loaned to Strasbourg for a year (the Alsace club has had the same owners as Chelsea since this summer). The second is Deivid Washington, a forward who could also be loaned this season and whose name has also been associated with RCSA (Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace).
