Bulgarian club Ludogorets and their Beninese international player Olivier Verdon were held to a draw by NK Olimpija Ljubljana (1-1) on Wednesday, in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League 2023-2024 qualifiers.

The first leg of the second qualifying round of the 2023-2024 Champions League continued on Wednesday with a decisive match between Ludogorets and NK Olimpija Ljubljana. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. The Bulgarian hosts, without the presence of Beninese international Olivier Verdon, who was left on the bench, tried everything but couldn’t secure a victory.

In a week’s time, Ludogorets and their teammates will travel to Slovenia to try to secure qualification for the next round. It is worth noting that in the previous round, the Bulgarian champions had defeated Kosovar team FC Ballkani (0-2, 4-0).
