Champions League Play-offs kicked off on Tuesday with the first set of first-leg matches. Check out the results of the three scheduled fixtures.

The headline match of the evening featured Glasgow Rangers against PSV Eindhoven in Scotland. In a match that lived up to its expectations, the two teams ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Abdallah Dipo Sima (45th minute) and Rabbi Matondo (76th minute) scored the two goals for the home team, taking the lead twice. However, the Dutch side responded each time with goals from Ibrahim Sangaré (61st minute) and Luuk De Jong (80th minute). The fate will be decided in the return leg between the two teams.

In the other Champions League clashes of the evening, Royal Antwerp managed to take a slight advantage by winning at home against AEK Athens, with a goal from Vincent Janssen (1-0). On the other hand, FC Copenhagen also secured a victory with the same score away in Poland against Rakow Czestochowa (0-1). The second-leg matches are scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th.

This first leg of the Champions League play-offs continues and concludes on Wednesday, with three more fixtures. Young Boys of Bern will visit Maccabi Haifa, while Galatasaray will aim to gain an edge for qualification on Molde’s turf. Finally, Braga and Panathinaikos will engage in an exciting duel.
