On Wednesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain revealed the list of players selected by Luis Enrique to participate in the 2023-24 Champions League season.
Unsurprisingly, the eleven summer signings for Paris, including Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte, Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Munani, Bradley Barcola, Arnau Tenas, Lucas Hernandez, Kang-In Lee, Cher Ndour, and Gonçalo Ramos, are all included. Kylian Mbappé, who had a dispute with the club this summer, is also on the list.
However, the Parisian coach chose not to include Marco Verratti, who is in the process of leaving to either the Qatari league or the Saudi league. The same situation applies to Hugo Ekitike, whom PSG wanted to offload but who ultimately decided to stay in Paris despite offers from Germany and England. Julian Draxler and Layvin Kurzawa are also not part of the selection.
It’s worth noting that Keylor Navas is present in Luis Enrique’s list, as is Presnel Kimpembe, who is currently injured. As a reminder, PSG is placed in Group F, considered the “group of death” in this edition of the Champions League. The residents of Parc des Princes will face Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle, all formidable opponents.
