Since the beginning of the new season of the show “C’Midi” on RTI 1, the famous Ivorian presenter Caroline Dasylva has given up her seat to Eva Amani. However, she is now getting ready to embark on a new show that will soon start.
The noticeable absence of presenter Caroline Dasylva was observed by viewers of the cult show “C’Midi” on the Radiodiffusion Télévision Ivoirienne (RTI) on Monday, November 6, 2023. After spending over ten years hosting the program, she yielded her place to presenter Eva Amani, who is also an employee of RTI.
But we now know a bit more about Caroline Dasylva’s next endeavor. Indeed, the Ivorian national television has a new program in the works for the upcoming CAN 2023, to be held in Côte d’Ivoire. And this new show will be hosted by Caroline Dasylva.
In a lengthy Facebook post, the presenter reflected on her journey at RTI. “The year 2011 marked my entry into RTI, where I hosted the program ‘Midi chez nous’ for three years, with more than 300 episodes to my credit. In August 2014, I was chosen by the management to host ‘C’Midi.’ It is a modern show that has greatly contributed to supporting reconciliation efforts among Ivorians and revitalizing the national television while respecting communication rules. This show gives a voice not only to well-known personalities but also to ordinary people,” wrote Caroline Dasylva.
The presenter continued, expressing her gratitude. “I want to congratulate all the teams at RTI, particularly Mr. Ahmadou Bakayoko, former CEO of RTI, for this innovation and vote of confidence. With all my heart, I thank God for His infinite grace in my life and career. I also thank the President of the Republic for the Excellence Award bestowed upon ‘C’Midi,’ as well as the medal of Knight in the National Order awarded to me. I am grateful to all the countries in the sub-region that have recognized my talent and honored me. My appreciation goes to my Director-General, Mr. Fausseni Dembélé, for his affection, trust, and unwavering support. Thanks to my husband, who is my coach, as well as my biological and spiritual family. I am thankful to Joseph Andjou, Mrs. Dékao Jeanne Fayé Lou, and all the generations of contributors who have followed. I also extend my thanks to the viewers and Carofriends from here and abroad who have embraced and supported me,” she declared.
She went on to provide a summary of the “C’Midi” show. “I would like to take this opportunity to briefly assess my time on C’Midi: Over 2,000 episodes of C’Midi presented in 10 seasons, restored families, saved lives, empowered entrepreneurs, motivated young people in pursuit of their ambitions and careers. Talents were discovered, stars celebrated, personalities honored, abundant joy shared, and numerous values promoted, without any notable scandals. It’s a miracle. At the end of these 10 seasons on C’Midi, I feel immense satisfaction in having fulfilled my mission, while forgetting any frustrations I may have experienced. I apologize to those I may have inadvertently hurt. I thank my superiors for accepting my decision to leave C’Midi. I believe that knowing when to leave is a blessing, especially when one feels too comfortable,” added Caroline Dasylva.
And finally, she congratulated the new presenter before unveiling the name of the show she will soon be hosting. “I congratulate and wish the new C’Midi team, led by Eva Amani, every success. Rest assured, they will meet your expectations. Lastly, I humbly share what I have learned with you: Hosting is about loving people, respecting them, and having a positive impact on their lives. Hosting is a true calling. Hosting is allowing your soul to express itself for the well-being of others… I can’t wait to see you on Friday, November 10, after the 8 p.m. news for the show ‘C’ À Nous de Jouer’ on RTI 1! May God bless us all.”
