The Senegalese national team has unveiled the list of players selected for their upcoming match against Rwanda in September, as part of the 6th round of qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Several key players from the Lions of Teranga have been excluded from the squad.

Senegal will face Rwanda on September 9th in Kigali, as part of the 6th round of qualifiers for the 2023 CAN. The match holds no significance for the Lions of Teranga, who are already qualified and ensured of finishing first in their group. The list of selected players for this match has been released. The squad has been significantly rotated with the absence of several key players.

Indeed, as stated by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), this list consists of players from the under-20 team, who were champions of the African Cup of Nations in their category, and players who won the African Nations Championship (CHAN). The summoned team is composed of four goalkeepers, ten defenders, seven midfielders, and ten forwards.
