The Cheetahs of Benin boarded a flight on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Bernardin Gantin International Airport in Cotonou to travel to Maputo for the upcoming match against Mozambique, as part of the sixth and final day of qualifiers for the CAN 2023.
The Benin national team departed from Cotonou on Thursday aboard a private flight bound for the Mozambican capital in preparation for the match scheduled for next Saturday on the sixth day of the qualifying rounds for the CAN 2023. The delegation took off from the Bernardin Gantin International Airport at around 10:40 AM. The contingent is expected to arrive in Maputo in the afternoon.
As a reminder, Benin faces Mozambique this Saturday at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo at 3:00 PM GMT. It is an important match for Coach Gernot Rohr’s players, who, in the event of victory, will secure their ticket to the final phase in Ivory Coast. 25 players, including several young talents, are part of this Mozambican adventure.
