DR Congo’s coach, Sébastien Desabre, announced his list of selected players for the match against Sudan in September, during the 6th round of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON.
Like other nations on the continent, DR Congo is playing in September to qualify for the final phase of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in Ivory Coast.
The Leopards will face Sudan on September 9th in Kinshasa, in the sixth and final round of the tournament qualifiers. Leading Group I with 9 points, the Congolese only need a draw against the Nile Crocodiles to secure their visa for the journey to Ivorian soil.
For this match, coach Sébastien Desabre announced his list of selected players on Thursday. French technician Desabre has called up 27 Leopards. Absent against Gabon (2-0) in the previous round, Cédric Bakambu returns to the squad. Striker Jackson Muleka (Besiktas, Turkey) also makes his return after his last call-up on September 23, 2022.
