Since the striking victory of the Ivory Coast Elephants over the Teranga Lions of Senegal, a continuous stream of congratulations has been flowing in. The match, which took place on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the prestigious Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro, ended in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out (1-1, 5-4) propelling Serge Aurier’s team to the quarter-finals of the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Amongst the shower of benevolent messages, Adama Bictogo, President of the National Assembly of Ivory Coast, too, joined in the celebration. He enthusiastically shared his congratulations and support for the team and their coach Emerse Faé, through an engaging post on his Facebook page, showcasing the national fervor surrounding this resounding victory.
