Loto Popo suffered a defeat against ASKO (0-1) on Wednesday, in their final training match as part of the preparations for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Loto Popo is actively preparing for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederation Cup. The vice-champions of Benin have been in Togo for a training camp for a few days. During their stay in Faure Gnassingbé’s country, Gaston Zossou’s team played three friendly matches.
The most recent match on Wednesday pitted the Loto Boys against players from the Association Sportive de la Kozah (ASKO). The game ended in a loss for the Beninese team, with a final score of 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Amouzou Roland from a penalty in the first half.
Another setback makes it two defeats for the Grand-Popo club, which concludes its training camp with just one victory. As a reminder, Loto-Popo will face Fath Union Sport (FUS) from Rabat in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. The first leg is scheduled for August 20th in Morocco.
