In the land of upright men for a series of concerts, Ivorian reggae artist Tiken Jah Fakoly was received in audience by President Ibrahim Traoré on Friday, December 22, 2023.

The Ivorian reggae star Tiken Jah Fakoly has landed in Burkina Faso for his year-end concerts, which will be held in Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso, respectively. But ahead of these concerts, he was received in audience on Friday, December 22, 2023 by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the transitional President.

During their exchanges, Tiken Jah Fakoly praised Ibrahim Traoré’s commitment to African unity and state sovereignty. “The struggle in Burkina Faso today is a struggle for Africa and for the true copy of independence. Because, the one that was given to us in 1960 was a copy. Our generation has therefore decided to recover the true copy without animosity and without being against anyone,” the artist declared.

We can only congratulate him and wish him a lot of courage because it is not easy. It is not a fight against someone, but it is for freedom,” supported the Pan-Africanist reggae artist.

He also reassured the Transitional President of his support in raising consciousness so that the population can understand the meaning of his work. For him, “if the Head of State continues the fight, it is because the people agree and support him.
