On June 24, Bob Lee, the most controversial Ivorian influencer, passed away in the United States. At first, many people believed it was a buzz orchestrated by the blogger who had been living in the United States for several years. It took an interview with his partner to convince many of the loss of this social media star.
On July 15, his wife and friends organized his funeral in New Jersey, in the state of New York, in the United States. However, when the wake was broadcasted on social media, users noticed that there were only a few people present. The absence of influencers who claimed to be friends of Bob Lee shocked the public.
Despite some relatives’ refusal to organize Bob Lee’s funeral in Divo, his body was eventually repatriated there. In his village, a funeral wake was held on Friday, August 4. His friend and web comedian Le Dougba Leger posted images and videos on the internet to show the emptiness during Bob Lee’s funeral.
On his page “Les Gbê de Stoni,” the Ivorian web comedian expressed deep sadness. “Bob Lee’s funeral is currently taking place in Divo. It’s really sad.”
