Due to the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of Benin’s independence, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, is declared a “public holiday with paid leave.”

The Minister of Labor and Public Service hereby announces: On the occasion of the National Day, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 90-019 of July 27, 1990, which establishes public holidays in the Republic of Benin, Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, is declared a public holiday throughout the national territory. On behalf of the Government, the Minister of Labor and Public Service wishes all Beninese citizens a happy Independence Day.
