The Republican Bloc party led by Minister of State Abdoulaye Bio Tchané is set to hold an extraordinary congress in September.
Following the Union Progressiste Renewal party, the Republican Bloc party will convene an extraordinary congress on September 9th to strengthen the party’s structures and foundations, in order to be better prepared for the general elections in 2026.
In this context, the party’s leader has formed a committee of 37 members. The members of this committee are tasked with preparing the congress, taking into account various aspects of organization, including communication, logistics, mobilization of members, as well as registration and accreditation processes.
It’s worth noting that on June 3rd, the party held a meeting of the political bureau during which the position of National Secretary General, held by Minister Abdoulaye Bio Tchané, was transformed into the presidency. Other modifications occurred during this meeting, particularly concerning the party’s leadership bodies.
Therefore, during the extraordinary congress on September 9th, the leaders of the Republican Bloc party will endorse the changes that took place within the party in June.
