As part of the celebration of Benin’s independence, the famous Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo arrived in Benin on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
Angélique is already in Benin to beautifully conclude the 63rd anniversary of Benin’s accession to national and international sovereignty. The diva was warmly welcomed at Cotonou’s Cardinal Bernadin Gantin Airport on Tuesday night. Upon her arrival, Angélique Kidjo was greeted by a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Arts, led by the Technical Advisor for Arts, Mrs. Carole Borna.
Indeed, Angélique Kidjo is in Benin to deliver a high-class performance as a guest star at the grand concert “La Saga des Agodjiés,” organized by the Beninese government.
The free grand concert will take place on Friday, August 4, 2023, starting at 9:00 PM at the Esplanade de l’Amazone in Cotonou. For this occasion, Angélique Kidjo has come to Benin with her musicians and artistic direction, promising to offer the Beninese people an outstanding performance.
Tickets for the entrance to the “La Saga des Agodjiés” concert will be available for free at Radio Tokpa, Radio Capp FM, and the Public Relations Department (DRP – ORTB).
