One fatality and 06 injuries were recorded in a serious traffic accident on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in Cana, in the municipality of Zogbodomey.
The accident occurred as the taxi was parked for a routine check by the elements of the Republican Police. The vehicle was violently hit by a truck that was likely speeding.

Out of the nine passengers aboard the taxi, one passenger tragically lost their life instantly. The other 06 passengers were severely injured and immediately attended to by the dispatched emergency services at the accident site.
