Closure of Marina Boulevard to Traffic. In a press release dated July 25, 2023, the Minister of the Interior and Public Security (MISP) stated that this measure is justified by the organization of festivities for the 63rd anniversary of Benin’s independence.
From Tuesday, July 25th at 12:00 AM to Wednesday, August 2nd at midnight, Marina Boulevard will be closed to traffic. This decision has been taken by the security services due to the organization of celebrations marking the 63rd anniversary of the Republic of Benin’s attainment of international sovereignty.
For residents in the area, alternative routes have already been marked to allow access to their homes.
On-site, it is evident that construction work is underway. The installation of the official podium is particularly occupying the different teams present.
