The main entrance of the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) has been closed starting from Monday, September 4th, 2023. A banner indicating the reason for the closure has been placed on the gate to inform users.
“For road construction reasons, the main entrance of UAC is temporarily closed. Please use the secondary entrances,” is the message that welcomes users to the Abomey-Calavi campus at the main gate since Monday.
To access the campus grounds, users are therefore required to take a detour and use one of the three secondary entrances. The first secondary entrance is located not far from the main entrance on the Cotonou – Bohicon road. The second one is commonly known as the “Zogbadjè gate”. The third entrance, on the other hand, is located near the football field.
However, it should be noted that several unauthorized entrances are opened along the campus fence. These are the work of students from the university village who are forced to use these unofficial entrances.
