Beninese journalist Annick Balley is no more. She passed away in the morning of Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
The world of Beninese press in general, and the Office of Radio and Television Broadcasting of Benin (ORTB) in particular, is mourning once again. Following the death of Director and promoter of Radio CAPP FM, Jérôme Carlos, a few days ago, it is now the turn of the accomplished journalist Annick Balley. She died on the morning of Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in France, where she had been living for about a year, following an illness.
Who was Annick Balley?
Annick Balley had been the chief editor at the Office of Radio and Television Broadcasting of Benin, from which she resigned in 2010 and later returned in 2016 as a Program Chief.
From 2012 to 2015, she was the director of Maïsha TV of the Africable television group, a Pan-African channel based in Mali. She was currently the mission leader of the Director-General of ORTB.
