Another setback for the former deputy of the twenty-fourth electoral district, Janvier Yahouédéhou, who has just lost his position as spokesperson of the Bloc Républicain party.
After losing his status as a deputy in the National Assembly of Benin, ninth legislature, Janvier Yahouédéhou has now lost his position as spokesperson of the Bloc Républicain party. He was replaced in this role during the extraordinary congress held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, by his political party. The new holder of the position is named Romaric Ogouwalè.
He made his entry this Saturday into the national executive bureau as vice-president, in charge of information, communication, and spokesperson for the party “cheval blanc cabré” (rearing white horse).
As a reminder, Janvier Yahouédéhou lost his position as a deputy in the National Assembly at the request of the former minister Hervé Hehomey, the incumbent. After his rejection from the Talon government, the former minister decided to reclaim his position as a deputy in the National Assembly. Faced with opposition from the president of the parliamentary institution, he filed an appeal with the constitutional court, which ruled in his favor.
