The National Agency for Standards and Metrology (ANM) conducted an unannounced inspection in certain neighborhoods of the city of Calavi on Tuesday, September 19th. As a result of this inspection, fuel station pumps were sealed for non-compliance.
The Director-General of the National Agency for Standards and Metrology dispatched a field inspection team on Wednesday, September 19, 2023. The team visited several gas stations in the city of Abomey-Calavi.
Following this inspection operation, non-compliant fuel station pumps were sealed, and the station managers were summoned for questioning.
It is not the first time that the ANM has carried out such an inspection operation to protect the public against entities that use non-compliant measurements with the intention of deceiving their customers.
