Elifaz is a Beninese artist who gained recognition in the Beninese public eye through his short videos shared on social media and his show titled “La Grande Réunion Familiale” (The Big Family Gathering). He began his career in artist management but quickly became disillusioned.
As revealed in the show “15 Minutes with Your Star,” it was one of his friends, Serge Koffi, who suggested he turn his texts into songs. That’s how he recorded his first piece, “Elle Ne Peut Pas Être” (She Can’t Be), in 2009.
This marked the beginning of a wonderful journey that led him to collaborate with other talents and release a 12-track album titled “Conquérant” (Conqueror). Elifaz’s story is also one of a son who embarks on a journey. From being an industrial mechanic to the world of audiovisuals at ORTB, where he was a state official, Elifaz resigned in 2010 from his role as a sound technician at Radio Parakou to dive into the uncertainty where his ultimate goal was to reach his destination.

With his expertise in political matters, Vodisfait Elifaz Gérard Houndékpondji, alias Elifaz, has taken on the weighty responsibility of organizing an annual event, “La grande réunion familiale” (The Big Family Gathering), where he includes all the public figures from Benin, Africa, and even worldwide.
During the fifth edition of “La grande réunion familiale,” held on August 5, 2023, Elifaz playfully referenced various political and showbiz figures from Benin in his distinct comedic style.
