The inaugural event of this season will be the zonal phase of the Pro League, which will run from September 30 to December 30, 2023. According to the schedule unveiled by the General Secretary of the FBF, Claude Paqui, the Super Pro League will take place from January 20 to June 23, 2024, running parallel to the Pro Suite League, which will kick off on January 27, 2024.
The calendar for the upcoming season is filled with competitions for all levels of play. The amateur championship will kick off on December 6, 2023, followed by the start of the departmental leagues on January 13, 2024. A major event not to be missed, the Benin Cup, is also on the program. While the exact start date remains to be specified, this competition will feature teams from both the Pro League and the Amateur League. The draw for the tournament is scheduled for January 5, 2024.
Women’s football will also have its spotlight this season. The first and second division women’s championships will make their grand return on November 11, 2023. As for the third-level women’s division, it will kick off on January 27, 2024. It’s important to note that young players and Beach Soccer enthusiasts will also have reasons to celebrate. The U15 football championship will start on February 17, 2024, while the start dates for the U17 championship, Beach Soccer, and the Beach Soccer Independence Cup will be announced later.
