The National Assembly of Benin is struck by a great tragedy. It has just lost one of its members.
The National Assembly and the political party Union Progressiste Le Renouveau are in mourning. Indeed, Abel Sourokou, a deputy of the 9th legislature and a member of the said party, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, following a long illness.
Originally from Sirarou, in the commune of N’Dali, Abel Sourokou is an elected representative of the eighth electoral constituency. The deceased was the first deputy mayor of N’Dali.
