The Court examines 31 appeals (Koovi, Mario Metonou and DGPR… targeted) this Tuesday. Approximately thirty cases are listed on the roll of the vacation session of the constitutional court this Tuesday, September 19th. The registry of the Constitutional Court has scheduled 31 cases for the vacation session held in the public hearing room. Several political and administrative figures are targeted by various appeals. These include, among others, the President of the Iroko Alliance, Bertin Koovi, who is the subject of an appeal for violation of Articles 21, 34, and 36 of the constitution. Apart from the political figure, the Director-General of the Republican Police, Soumaila Yaya, and the commander of the criminal brigade are also the subject of appeals filed with the high court. The Special Prosecutor of the Court for Economic Crimes and Terrorism, Mario Metonou, also finds himself in the sights of some citizens who have filed an appeal against him.”
