The weekly conclave of the ministers of Benin was held once again this Wednesday, February 21, 2024, under the guidance of President Patrice Talon. Many subjects were discussed during this session. Here you will find all the decisions that were made.
The following decisions were taken:
I. LEGISLATIVE MEASURES.
The decree approving the statutes of the Beninese Office of School and University Sport was adopted as part of these measures.
II- COMMUNICATIONS.
Contracting for Road Rehabilitation and Development Works (Asphalting) in the City of Cotonou (Fidjrossè and Togbin areas).
The developments cover 36.77 km of roads in these areas. The goal is to execute them during the same period as those to be conducted in the other cities benefiting from the project, the Council has agreed to contract with a company that has proven itself during the first phase.
At the same time, it was decided to contract with a firm for the technical studies, control, and supervision of the works.
III – INDIVIDUAL MEASURES.
Upon the minister’s proposal, following a call for applications procedure and opinion of the National Education Council, the following appointments have been announced at the Ministry of Pre-school and Primary Education:
Secretary-General of the Ministry: Mr. Thomas SIMBOSSA TCHAO
Director of Primary Education: Mr. Jimon Jacob TOUDONOU
Director of Inspection and Pedagogical Innovation: Mrs. Mireille Marie Josée Yéba AFOUDA, nee WOROU
Director of the Teacher Training School in Abomey: Mr. Alain Firmin Yémalin HOUSSOU.
